The live website is served over HTTPS and its normal hosting configuration is looked after without handing you a server dashboard to learn.
Regular backups
Backups provide a recovery route if a website file or deployment needs to be restored. They are part of resilience, not a promise that failures never happen.
Routine upkeep
Normal security and maintenance work is handled as part of the selected care plan, within the technology and scope of the website.

These jobs overlap, but they are not identical. Hosting covers the environment that serves the website. Maintenance covers the ongoing attention around it: checking normal operation, applying relevant routine changes, keeping backups usable and responding when a supported part needs attention.

What is separate from monthly care
Domain registration and renewal, managed business email, premium licences, paid imagery and outside software charges remain separate where used. A large new feature or structural redesign is scoped before work begins. Standard care plans are paired with Millwards Digital builds; a website built elsewhere needs a technical review before any maintenance proposal.
