Cookie policy

1. Always on: needed for the site to work

These do not track you and do not need your permission.

• Your cookie choice. Your browser’s local storage remembers whether you accepted or declined recordings, so we do not ask on every page.
• Page features. Session storage remembers small things for the current visit, such as whether the homepage intro has already played and which page you started on. It is cleared when you close the browser.
• Checkout. If you pay online, Stripe’s secure payment form may set its own cookies to process the payment and prevent fraud. See Stripe’s cookie policy.
• Admin sign-in. The private admin area uses a sign-in cookie. Visitors to the public site never receive it.

2. Always on: cookie-free visit counts

Our self-hosted analytics counts page views, broad device type and the website that referred you. It does not set cookies, does not store an identifier in your browser and cannot follow you between websites. More detail is in the privacy notice.

3. Optional: session recordings and heatmaps

Only if you choose “Accept”, a sample of visits to public pages is recorded so we can see where pages are confusing or broken. A recording captures page layout, scrolling, mouse movement and clicks.

• Anything typed into a form field is hidden before it leaves your browser.
• The admin area and Stripe’s payment form are never recorded.
• Recordings are processed by our own self-hosted analytics service. They are not shared with advertisers or used on other websites.
• While recording, the recorder briefly uses your browser’s session storage.

If you choose “No thanks”, nothing is recorded and the banner will not ask again unless you open the settings.

4. Changing your choice

Use the cookie settings link here or in the website footer at any time. You can also clear this website’s data in your browser settings, and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
